St. Joseph's Christian Methodist Episcopal Church stands as a beacon of faith and resilience in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Originally founded as Cotton Chapel CME Church in 1898 by dedicated believers including Mr. Henry Cotton, our church has flourished through challenges and changes, always emerging stronger through God's grace.

For over 125 years, St. Joseph's CME Church has been guided by the principle: "I came to serve, not to be served." We honor our elders past and present, whose sacrifices and vision made our ministry possible, while embracing a future of continued service, faith development, and community outreach.
